Smartfoldable – flexpai by Royale corporation

I know you must have so many Questions. I did to, so lets jump right in.

Why is this a thing you might wonder, how does the screen fold without breaking, why would i want to fold and unfold my phone?

With today’s smartphone design innovation in decline I would say it is about time we saw something new if not radical.

The Smartphone + Tablet, gave birth to the FlexPai.

A few months ago, a mobile phone company with the slogan we invent the future took on the challenge to incorporate a smartphone and tablet into a single case with a flexible screen. Great concept thought might not be a new idea.

Actually I’m yet to see or own one myself but all the reviews I have read and videos I have seen all point out one thing.

The idea is great but the product is still at its infancy – as majority of those who reviewed the flexpie have admitted. But this did not stop one of the biggest modern mobile tech company jumping on-board the experiment –  perhaps in a bid to place itself as a pioneer of the foldable smartphone for 2019.

In an effort to show they are capable of creating the smartphone of the future, SAMSUNG hurriedly made what seem like a broken piece of metal or a slab or plastic under  deemed light to hide the utterly ugliness of the prototype.

And it is no surprise the prototype was met with less than enthusiastic reactions with some pointing out the device’s bulky square heavily bezels and rigidity to a certain extent.

Practically the flexpai is not practical as many YouTube videos have shown user finding it difficult to fit the phone into a front or back jean pocket. Also folding is also yet to be determined as some of the designs showed outward folds; inward fold and two sided fold.

The technology is not ready yet with the OLED screen not being able to fold completely flat it might be a while before the technology is ripe and ready to be applied correctly.

Now, do you think this technology is ready yet? Absolutely not! and might be a while for this to be fine tuned into something consumers might want to be seen around with and appreciated by us Techies.
