Sorochi Emenike Ekeke on Thursday obtained his expression of interest and nomination form from the Young Progressive Party (YPP) office to contest for the 2021 Oyigbo LGA Chairmanship Election.
Emenike who was filled with joy while receiving the form at YPP office in Rukpokwu, Port Harcourt charged his supporters to join hands with him to rebuild Oyigbo.
The YPP candidate while speaking to Hitvibz shortly after obtaining his nomination form said;
“I feel happy and excited, finally I have gotten the nomination form to contest for chairman Oyigbo Local government area come April.”
He added;
“My supporters should expect victory from me, I am winning this election, YPP is the answer. Let’s rebuild Oyigbo.”
Sorochi will be looking to secure the Chairmanship spot of Oyigbo Local government area council in Rivers state when he goes head to head with the big names – APC and PDP.
While considering the fact that Rivers state is a PDP state, governed by Nyesom Wike, Sorochi disclosed that he will never bow to any pressure from any political party.
“I am not bowing down for anybody and no pressure will push to step down for anybody,” he told Hitvibz.
